In theory, at least. The owner and I have been talking for a couple weeks, and unless something catastrophic occurs when we meet, (which it shouldn't, the car seems great) I'll be swapping the M3 for this classic.
Winning guess gets absolutely nothing. It might be grainy due to excessive zooming/cropping, but I still feel like its a giveaway.
Well that took seconds. Picture in comments

The only thing I'm getting out of this is there is about to be an M3 on the market that I won't be able to buy.

Creepy - I was just looking at one of these in PA - same color and condition for $5,500. Lots of miles though, and it needed subframe bushings.

This one's near Baltimore, so it'll be a bit of a haul from CT but it seems worth it. 110k, all records, air suspension swapped to Bilsteins, etc etc. Basically set up for autocross, what with the Evo 1 wheels, suspension swap, and EBC red pads/Stoptech slotted rotors. Should be a blast, and it's unfortunate that I won't have more time with it (in my mind, this is not a very good car to bring to college).

Where in the heck did you find this near Baltimore? That's my neck of the woods.

I had it listed as for sale/for trade on bimmerforums and the owner PM'ed me. I actually got some pretty cool offers, including an SM class Miata with a crate motor and a KO4 B5 S4. This one just made the most sense, as well as being the nicest car.

....the fuck is up with the "SENNA" stickers? Is that some special edition? If not......what the hell, previous owner?

Senna got his debut in this car:
When the 2.3-16v came out, Mercedes hosted a brief spec-race at the Nurburgring, to get the word out. All the cars were fairly stock, aside from a bucket seat and rollcage (even the tape deck was still there). A host of F1 drivers attended, including Probst, Lauda, Hunt, Stirling Moss...you get the idea. One driver cancelled, so a car was left open. Mercedes contacted a young driver who had just won his first Formula 3 Championship, by the name of Ayrton Senna. Long story short, there was some rain, and Senna beat the entire field. F1 teams took notice, and the rest is history.
I don't know, I kind of dig it.

It was good fun, that's for sure. Main reason for sale was I've never had a turbocharged car, and I guess I still won't.
